The London Christmas lights have been switched on across the city and have created sparkle right across London. The capital is lit up with new and old Christmas lights alike in some of the capitals most iconic locations.
Spending the Christmas evenings in the city underneath the various lights is absolutely magical and a cosy way to explore the city.
London’s Best Christmas Lights
Bond Street
This luxurious street in London sure has lights that showcase luxury. This year the theme is perfume and you can see giant perfume bottle lit above the street.
You can also see the installations on several of the shops. Our favorites are Cartier, Tiffany and Channel.
Ever After Garden
The Ever After Garden in Grosvenor Square is lit with a sea roses for the festive period. This is in aid of The Royal Marsden cancer Society and every rose represents money put towards the cancer charity. It’s beautiful to look at and have a wander round.
The Savoy
The Savoy is a hotel like no other at Christmas. The Christmas decorations and lights are something to rival Regent Street. Both outside and inside has something to marvel at.
Kew Gardens
This huge green house has certainly taken on board the Christmas spirit as the building and even some of the plants and green spaces have a wonderful light display. Illuminations will have you marveling in awe and wonder this time of year!
Anabel’s Mayfair
Anabel’s private members club in Mayfair put on a light up installation each year and this year will surely not disappoint. Take a walk by and marvel at the huge installation.
Oxford Street
Oxford Street is always worth a visit to see the lights each year. Walk or drive through to see the hanging stars they have become famous for.
London Eye
The London Eye and the area in front of it have had a festive makeover. Walk in front of the London Eye and take in the view of the lit up trees that match the colour of the lit up wheel.
Regent Street
Beautiful golden angels light up this iconic shopping street in London and parts of the street are now a pedestrian only zone allowing you the opportunity to really stand and appreciate the lights.
Leadenhall Market
One of the cosiest spots to take in the Christmas decorations and huge tree is Leadenhall Market. See the huge Christmas tree and hanging baubles in this iconic spot in London.
Carnaby Street
This year Carnaby Street has debuted some brand new lights. Stop by to see cool shapes and structures above the street lighting it up.
Harrods
This iconic luxury department store is lit up for the winter months and warm bright lights shine from Harrods London.
Knightsbridge
While you are taking in the lights of Harrods, stop by Knightsbridge High Street to see the lights above the street.
Hatton Garden
This famous luxury jewelry area has lights that shine bright like diamonds in the darker winter months. Giant bauble lights are there to be marveled at.
London’s Best Christmas Decorations
Royal Exchange
Head to the Royal Exchange to see the lights and gigantic Christmas tree put on by the department store Fortnum and Mason as well as the Candy Cane installation on the Royal Exchange building.
Bishopsgate
This year Bishopsgate outside the Pan Pacific Hotel has the tallest Christmas tree in London. Be sure to stop by for a quick visit.
Covent Garden
Covent Garden is always a hub of activity during the festive period. Head there to see the iconic decorations in full swing.
Roast Borough Market
Head to Roast Restaurant in Borough Market to see the gingerbread style decorations this Christmas. While you are there take a look at the tree and wreaths in Borough Market.
Eatily
Eatily the Italian shop and market hall have gone all out for the festive period and you can see the Christmas decorations and lights. While you are there do some Italian Christmas shopping.
Spitalfields
Spitalfields Market has decorated for the festive period this year with a huge tree, and festive installations dotted around the market.
Fortnum and Mason
Head to the Fortnum and Mason in Piccadilly to take in the Christmas lights outside advent calendar themed, before heading inside to see the show in the middle of the store.
Alto by San Carlo
This beautiful restaurant on top of Selfridges on the rooftop offers amazing Italian tapas and amazing Christmas decorations. Head there for a bauble alley, baubles hanging from the ceiling and a circus style installation.
Sky Garden
The Sky Garden has decorated for the season with huge lit up Christmas tree’s standing tall and looking out over London. They have loads of festive things going on this Christmas too.
