Virgin Voyages is a cruise ship like no other, they have skipped the huge cruise ship vibe and opted for a boutique hotel vibe and we are totally here for it!
Virgin have created comfortable luxury on board and it was just the right amount luxury to comfort. The ships adult only vibe ensures there are some excellent parties and perfect bars for you and your choice of tipple!
Everything You Need To Know About Virgin Voyages
The Ship
Our cruise was on board the Scarlet Lady which embarked from Miami on a Western Caribbean cruise stopping at Roatan Honduras, Costa Maya and Bimini Bahamas. The ship was large, but it was by no means the biggest ship on the water, actually compared to other cruise ships the Scarlet Lady looked pretty small. This is because Virgin have focused on creating a boutique hotel style ship, rather than a huge ship.
Although the ship was smaller than other cruise liners on the water, there was no shortage of bars, eateries and lounge areas including a pool and deck areas which was always brimming with good vibes thanks to the pool bar and DJ spinning tunes all afternoon and evening.
The Rooms
The rooms on Virgin Voyages are comfortably spacious, with comfortable beds and seating areas, We stayed in a sea terrace room which we highly recommend. The balcony was the highlight with Virgin’s signature hammock hanging giving you the opportunity to swing in the hammock while taking in the views of the ocean from your very own balcony.
Virgin have so many other room options from inside cabins to rockstar suites where you are given a large terrace with sun loungers and even larger hammocks. Where ever you stay on Virgin waking up to the view of the ocean from the bed is the very best way to wake up in our opinion.
Here are the various rooms:

On board Virgin Voyages all food is included in the price of cruise, and it is some of the best food we have had on holiday. They have 7 a la carte restaurants and The Galley where you can head to many counters and choose what to have from sushi and burgers to tacos and noodles. There was something for everyone.
You do need to pre-book the restaurants as they get booked up pretty quickly. Keep an eye on the Virgin Voyages app for when the bookings open and book them all in advance.
